2015 Eco-Art Challenge

Do you have a creative spirit and see new uses for old things? If so, then we invite you to participate in our 1st Annual Eco-Art Challenge: a community art show focusing on repurposed materials.
This year’s concept: The K-Cup (or any single use coffee cup).
While these pre-packaged coffee pods were designed to provide a more convenient home-brewing experience, the environmental impact of these products is concerning to say the least. As more families invest in single-serve brewing systems, the number of discarded coffee pods has been building up at an alarming rate.
For our 2015 Eco-Art Challenge, we are challenging artists of all ages to create a masterpiece that utilizes K-Cups in a creative way. These pieces will be on display at Spectrum Creative Arts, and three cash prizes will be awarded based on creativity.

I have stayed here for several days.  Alone in the wilderness with only the things I can carry in my backpack.  I've been rationing my food and water to extend my time here.  There's an intensity to the evening sun that is counter-balanced by the darkness of the soil.  A delicate harmony to everything.

This piece would work in a space that is deep red, burnt orange, yellow, green, blue, or a neutral beige
