Take the following steps to cope with a Coronavirus:
Take care of your body– Try to eat healthy well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep. Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
Connect with others– Share your concerns and how you are feeling with a friend or family member. Maintain healthy relationships, and build a strong support system.
Take breaks– Make time to unwind and remind yourself that strong feelings will fade. Try taking in deep breaths. Try to do activities you usually enjoy.
Stay informed– When you feel that you are missing information, you may become more stressed or nervous. Watch, listen to, or read the news for updates from officials. Be aware that there may be rumors during a crisis, especially on social media. Always check your sources and turn to reliable sources of information like your local government authorities.
Avoid too much exposure to news– Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories. It can be upsetting to hear about the crisis and see images repeatedly. Try to do enjoyable activities and return to normal life as much as possible and check for updates between breaks.
Seek help when needed– If distress impacts activities of your daily life for several days or weeks, talk to a clergy member, counselor, or doctor, or contact the SAMHSA helpline at 1-800-985-5990.

The Easter Goblin

This is the Easter Bunny that visited our house this year...

Bella and Scout having fun in the puppy wrestling room on Easter.

Scout is very tough and Bella's very gentle.  Perfect match.  Don't worry about Bella.  She's on medicine for a vitamin deficiency.  Scout's not that tough...

Poor Scout.  So tired from playing all day.  Comes home completely covered in dog slobber.  Too sleepy to fight her bath...

"Hi water.  I hate you..."

In the spirit of the holiday, Scout rises from the dead!

It was a long day in the puppy nest.

Scout looks like she still has a puppy playtime hangover on our hike to the library.  Hope everyone had a good Easter.

Sadly, Just a Normal Day...

Photobucket

Emmy Lou hanging out in a mail basket

Football Season's Over. So, Now What Do I Do?

Photobucket
Amerks vs. the Abbottsford Heat.  Rochester lost 3-2 in overtime.  A very, very short overtime...  At least Moose was there.

Photobucket
Faceoff which was immediately followed by a fight.

Photobucket
Geez Louise making Gertie nervous at the office.

Photobucket
She may be a cat; not a dog...

Photobucket
After a rough day at the office with all the cats and big dogs, she likes to steal my snuggie and curl up on the top of our couch.  Stop stealing my stuff...

Photobucket
So, this manure spreader at work is on its last legs.  It needs to be replaced and we have no money in the budget.  Any suggestions?  There's a lifetime supply of cookies on the line!

Random Randomness

Photobucket
Gertie is back for more adventures with Megan and Mike.  Just look at those eyes.  They say "I will wake you up all night and steal your pillow!"

Photobucket
Snowman with a dog food rainbow.  Hmmm...

Photobucket
Megan came home with Stinky Gringo Margarita's to celebrate our upcoming trip to Florida.  36 proof and 18% alcohol...  That will do it...

Photobucket
Geez Louise looking like she had a few Stinky Gringo's herself.

Photobucket
Some really funny kittens at Lollypop Farm.

And...  Done...

Labor Day Weekend

Photobucket
Labor Day Weekend with Tachel!

Photobucket
The best way to babysit is to put the child in a burrito.  She had her first day of school without sparkle pants today

Photobucket
Burritos are only fun until the babysitter ends up in one

Photobucket
LET ME OUT!!!

Photobucket
Here's the other kid we had to babysit this weekend...

Photobucket
Jordan, James, Kraus...

 Photobucket
The Aquahoop was tested out and next summer it will be amazing!

Photobucket
Oh yeah!  Puppy time!

Photobucket
So much calmer when they get spayed...

Photobucket
I don't know what happened to Dock.  He just seemed to pass out in the cat condo.

Photobucket
I'll leave you to ponder the wolf hat.

As always, I'm asking for your support at Barktober Fest 2011.  I'll be organizing the runners and walkers this year.  I may shoot the pistol to start the race.  So, help me help homeless and abused animals at:  http://lollypop.kintera.org/barktoberfest/mike

Megan and I got to watch Gertie this past weekend and it was apparently the only thing of interest.  Therefore, this blog is dedicated to a Yorkie that took over my life for a few days.

Photobucket
Try as you might, you will never shake free from Megan's grip!

Photobucket
Acceptance

Photobucket
The cover of my next album.

Photobucket
KISS!

Photobucket
Gertie visits Lollypop Farm.  I don't think Gertie has ever seen a cat before.  At least, she didn't act like she knew what a cat was.  This was about as close as she would get.  Otherwise, she would hide under my desk.

Photobucket
Gertie and Neville.  It's not often that Gertie is the big dog in the room

Photobucket
"Stop playing and pee!  I have 'giving season' to prepare for!"

Photobucket
Neville and Gertie's floating head.

Photobucket
Rough day at work.  Friday couldn't come soon enough.  Good thing it's 5:30...

Photobucket
5:32...

That's it until Labor Day!  Again, if you want to help the animals of the Greater Rochester area, please support me at Barktober Fest 2011 at: http://lollypop.kintera.org/barktoberfest/mike
