4th Annual Silent Action for the Anthony Poselovich Memorial Foundation

When a child is diagnosed with cancer it is an unbelievably heartbreaking experience. The emotional and financial toll can feel insurmountable. The mission of the Anthony Poselovich Memorial Foundation is to help families in financial need during the treatment process for their child. Providing some financial peace of mind can help a family to cope with their child's illness by knowing their child will be able to receive medications and treatments vital in the battle against cancer.  To help this wonderful cause, please attend:

YEAH!  The bricks are in at Lollypop thanks to all the good people at Zaretsky and Associates Landscaping http://www.zaretskyassociates.com/!!!  Between injuries and hurricanes, it took a lot to put these in the ground.  I can't wait to tell our excited donors they are in!

And a quick update on the construction.  It's going up fast.  I saw some masonry on the clinic in the back and the roofing being installed.  It won't be long before these will be occupied!
Not much else to report.  I've been super, super busy lately.  So, I'm boring...

Mike Kraus' Animal Kingdom

Hello Daisy!

Photobucket
Sorry, already adopted...  But, a very sweet and funny Dachshund.

Photobucket
You can tell how tiny she is by comparing her to the chair legs.

Photobucket
And now for the kittens.  Not adopted, but not quite ready yet.  They are in the foster program and need to put on some weight first.

Fawn.  Not at work, but hanging out at our apartment.

What a great night!  Awesome job Karen and Russ!!!  Your countless hours of work really paid off and everyone had a blast!  Great job to my team making sure everything went smoothly and our guests had fun!  To all the volunteers helping with silent auctions, live auctions, check in and check out, processing, etc.; I hope you had a good time because you made a lot of people happy that night!  As did all the staff of Sonnenberg, Philipson Group, all our sponsors!  Most of all, to our generous guests who have saved countless lives with their contributions!

Always Finding Something To Keep Me Busy

Been pretty busy recently.  There's been too much to do to take pictures.  There's been a lot of work and trying to assemble a great program.  There's been a funeral for Megan's uncle.  A theater party.  And, just the usual same 'ol same 'ol.  But, spring weather seems to be teasing us...

Photobucket
Leena the puppy!  She's already been adopted, so you can't have her.

Photobucket
Tachel is either looking for a new kitty or getting ready to go see the the Lion King on stage.  And no, the bat in the Auditorium Theater is not a part of the show, it's not in your hair, and it won't make you a vampire...

Once again, if you donate through United Way, please consider Designation #1594 for Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester.  For more information, visit: www.Lollypop.org/UnitedWay

Thanks!

Heroes For Life

Children's Memorial Hospital needs to build a new hospital. Below is a link about what will be done and how you can help:
www.HeroesForLife.org

IT'S OFFICIAL! Children's Memorial Hospital has launched it's fundraising campaign to build the $1 billion Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago in the downtown neighborhood of Streeterville. To celebrate, we had an event at Northerly Island (formerly Meigs Field Airport).

Here's the outdoor patio area looking out over the Chicago skyline

Here's Dennis DeYoung from Styx rockin' out!

BLUES LEGEND BUDDY GUY PLAYED!!! I got to watch him from about 10 inches away!!!

BUDDY!!!

My uncle John is going to be so jealous!

This was a great event. Just look at how nice it is.

The food was great! They had all kinds of "Tenderloin of Beef," sushi, rosotto (sp?), crapes, tarts, sliced meats, and lots more!

Nathan looking and what's in the next couple photos.

FIREWORKS!!!

And, it was timed to music in the theme of "heroes" and "Chicago."

A view from outside the tent at the end of the night.

A great and fun night overall generously donated to Children's Memorial Hospital for the purpose of raising money for the new hospital.

Again, please visit this website so children from Chicago and around the world can continue to get world class healthcare:
